Oakes Performance Solutions - 3.2 FSI V6 Engine ECU & TCU Software
Presenting Oakes Performance Solutions in collaboration with Custom Code, offering ECU and TCU software for the 3.2 FSI V6 engine. These tune sets are compatible with numerous Audi models and are based on our benchmark 2008 Audi A5 and 2009 Audi Q5 shop cars.
Performance Enhancements:
These are Torque tunes for the 3.2 liter FSI V6 engines to make these Audis a lot more fun to drive! Inspired by our shop cars not being responsive enough we added a ton more low end torque and quickened the shifting of the six speed ZF automatic transmissions. Along with a lot of other enjoyable changes to increase the excitement while maintaining the reliability and longevity of these dependable vehicles. Most of our customers that have already downloaded these tunes say this is how these cars should drive from the factory since we unlock all the responsive low end feel when you first step on the accelerator pedal.
We have software solutions for the problematic SAI and CAT systems.
The tunes come in four stages to accommodate the different needs of our customers:
The stage 2 ECU and TCU combination tunes are meant for customers that already have aftermarket exhaust, intake, or plates for the most performance out of these vehicles. Most of the aftermarket parts like from our friends at JH Motorsports or JHM fit perfectly since most of the time these 3.2 FSI V6 engines use the same intake and exhaust parts as the 3.0T supercharged V6 engines. We even tested the full JHM S5 V8 exhaust and K&N air filter on our B8 A5 for the most performance and sound. It was hilarious how loud we made the V6 while sounding great! The stage 2 transmission/TCU tune is included in this option because so much low end torque is added that we felt it should be a requirement for both enjoyment and longevity.
The stage 1 ECU and TCU combination tunes are our most commonly sold set of tunes for the additional torque and better shifting on a completely stock vehicle without any other changes. These tunes will add a ton of low end torque, shift so much quicker while staying silky smooth, and increase the longevity of the vehicle.
The stage 1 ECU tune or stage 1 TCU tune are introductory style tunes for increasing the performance of either the engine or transmission. A lot of our manual transmission customers purchase the stage 1 ECU tune to gain the low end torque. As some customers just want the automatic transmission to shift better from the stage 1 TCU tune.
Oakes Performance Solutions Commitment to Power and Performance
At Oakes Performance Solutions we care about getting the power to the pavement so that is why we list the acceleration times first since they are the most important to us. The horsepower and torque numbers are listed after the acceleration differences because there are multiple occasions that can't be shown on a dyno. We want you to feel the difference immediately after downloading the tunes the first time you drive out of your driveway! The reason that we list a range of acceleration differences and horsepower/torque gains is to accommodate the different vehicle chassis used. For example heavier chassis vehicles like the A6, A8, and Q5 will be towards the lower end of the acceleration time differences. As the lighter chassis vehicles like the A4 and A5 will see the higher end of the acceleration time differences. We strongly recommend for the best results to have the engine serviced including a carbon cleaning of the intake valves and ports along with replacing the following maintenance items like engine air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, and fuel injectors depending on the mileage.
