We are thrilled to introduce Oakes Performance Solutions, in collaboration with Custom Code 3.0 TDI V6 engine ECU and Aisin/ZF TCU software, specifically designed for a variety of Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche models. These tune sets, one of four distinct offerings, are based on our benchmark 2012 Audi Q7 SUV featuring the CATA engine code and Aisin transmission. These tunes have been further refined using real-world data from client vehicles, including the 2015 Audi A6 TDI, 2014 Q5 TDI, Porsche Cayenne Diesel, and VW Touareg Diesel.
Performance Enhancements:
Stage 1 ECU tune:
Experience a reduction in 0-60 mph times by 0.6 to 0.9 seconds compared to stock. Quarter-mile times are faster by 0.4 to 0.7 seconds, with an increase of 3-5 mph in trap speed. 2012 and older models gain 65 more horsepower and 35 more ft-lbs of torque to a new total of 286 crank horsepower and 441 ft-lbs of torque. 2013 and newer models gain 60 more horsepower and 90 more ft-lbs of torque to a new total of 300 crank horsepower and 496 ft-lbs of torque. Deletes included.
Stage 2 ECU tune:
Experience a reduction in 0-60 mph times by 0.6 to 0.9 seconds compared to stock. Quarter-mile times are faster by 0.4 to 0.7 seconds, with an increase of 3-5 mph in trap speed. 2012 and older models gain 80 more horsepower and 50 more ft-lbs of torque to a new total of 301 crank horsepower and 456 ft-lbs of torque. 2013 and newer models gain 90 more horsepower and 105 more ft-lbs of torque to a new total of 330 crank horsepower and 511 ft-lbs of torque. Deletes included.
Stage 3 ECU tune:
This custom tune is designed to accommodate specific hardware modifications, such as larger turbos, different diesel fuel injection components like a CP3 fuel pump and/or larger injectors, custom intakes with enlarged MAF and/or MAP sensors, and more. This custom tune requires individualized logging to adjust to the vehicle’s specific alterations.
TCU tune:
Enjoy noticeable improvements in shift times, with smoother and quicker gear changes. Factory shift hang-ups, particularly the 1-2 gear shift, are eliminated, and clunky factory downshifts are corrected. Experience smoother shifts in Drive mode, and optimal acceleration in Sport mode, as the gear shifting points have been finely adjusted. We’ve engineered the tune to hold lower gears for longer during cold starts, ensuring efficient engine warming. The tune also keeps the transmission fluid cooler, prolonging transmission life, and it recalibrates or removes torque limitations for superior acceleration. This is not merely a pre-diesel gate TDI flash; it’s a complete overhaul of the software.
Our ECU tunes are available in three stages to cater to our customers’ varying needs. Options are provided for the installation of popular deletes at no additional cost. Please note, the TCU tune is required for the Stage 2 and Stage 3 ECU tunes due to the increased stress on components resulting from the elevated EGTs/Exhaust Gas Temperatures and the need to modify or remove torque limitations for optimal performance.

Tuning Cable Rental and Purchase Options
The ECU and TCU tunes are downloaded by you through the Custom Code online server that requires renting or purchasing one of our tuning cables. It costs $30 to rent a tuning cable after all the steps of the rental program are completed or $150 to purchase a tuning cable. The tuning cable rental program consists of a $150 core deposit plus shipping costs initially. Then after the tuning cable is shipped back in good condition within seven business days from initially arriving then $120 of the core deposit will be refunded. If there are any issues with downloading the tunes caused by Oakes Performance Solutions or Custom Code like a server update or file revision then that time delay will not be held against the customer.
