Introducing the Oakes Performance Solutions in association with Custom Code performance ECU and TCU tunes for the quad turbocharged W16 engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission in the Bugatti Veyron and limited edition models including the Grand Sport, Super Sport, and Grand Sport Vitesse.

About the ECU and TCU Tunes

The ECU and TCU tunes are only available together as a package in three different levels to suit our customer’s needs. From our experience, we found that the engine was so powerful with just minor performance software revisions that the transmission needed to be recalibrated to work together in proper synchronization with the additional engine power. The stage 1 ECU and TCU tunes will shift the Veyron to the performance levels of a Chiron. The stage 2 ECU and TCU tunes will turn the Veyron into a monster that is quicker and faster than the highest level Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ in performance. Finally, our Custom Tailored ECU and TCU tunes with supporting hardware are done on a case-by-case basis with required logging done for best results. Travel, meals, and lodging costs are in addition to the quoted price listed for the Custom Tailored ECU and TCU tunes at the top of the page that will be discussed via email.

Performance Matters

At Oakes Performance Solutions, we care about getting the power to the pavement so that is why we list the acceleration times first since they are the most important to us. The horsepower and torque numbers are listed after the acceleration differences because there are multiple occasions that can’t be shown on a dyno. We know you will feel the difference immediately after downloading the tunes the first time you drive out of your driveway because you will likely either have the traction control/ESP warning light flashing at you or spin the tires in spectacular fashion if you are brave enough to turn the traction control off as you pull out of your driveway! The acceleration times are listed conservatively due to most of our clients driving their vehicles on normal roads instead of a properly prepped surface such as a dragstrip or race track.

Case Studies

Muhammad’s Bugatti Veyron: Muhammad wanted to beat his friend’s McLaren 765LT because he had lost to it twice already in his Bugatti Veyron. For context, the stock Veyron is rated to run 9.9 to 10.1 seconds in a 1/4 mile, and his friend’s McLaren 765LT is rated to run around 9.5 to 9.6 seconds in a 1/4 mile. Needless to say, that difference in times was apparent immediately for Muhammad, with the McLaren just leaving his Bugatti Veyron in the dust. So he emailed us, we worked out the details, and shipped him our tuning cable that he used to flash the ECU and TCU with our stage one package. They then raced each other later that day where the Bugatti Veyron won comfortably.

Las Vegas Veyron: The second Veyron that we were involved with tuning was in Las Vegas, USA. This customer had modified their Veyron with a custom titanium exhaust system and removed certain other components. They put the car on a local dyno, downloaded the first extremely safe test file that we sent them, and made a dyno run. It showed over 1,500 wheel horsepower. Next, we sent them more file revisions based on the logs that we received, and the horsepower increased to over 1,600 whp, then over 1,800 whp, and finally, the last file that was downloaded yielded 1,947 whp. The dyno operator told us that was the most he had ever seen on his dyno and was partially afraid that we could break the dyno if we progressed with more power.
